Who We Are

We are passionate about technology and how the companies we build can impact the world around us. At New World Systems, we built a public safety software platform that helps police, fire, and EMS agencies across the United States protect millions of citizens every day. In addition, New World’s ERP software helps hundreds of city and county governments operate more efficiently.

Our team has 80+ years of combined operational experience within the technology industry. Each team member brings a unique set of skills, but we all share a common goal of helping companies unlock their maximum potential.

Larry D. Leinweber

President & Founder

As a software entrepreneur who has founded and successfully scaled two technology businesses, Larry brings a wealth of operational experience and know-how to The Ascent Group. Most recently, he was President and CEO of New World Systems Corporation, a $130M+ ERP software company that he founded in 1981 and grew to 500 employees. Prior to New World, Larry was President and CEO of Advanced Computer Management Corporation, a company he also co-founded and grew to 200 employees. He began his career as an IBM Systems engineer. Larry is a graduate of Michigan State University, and resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

David Leinweber

Partner & Co-Founder

David brings a passion for technology and strong analytical skills to The Ascent Group. He began his career as an IT Consultant with Accenture where he designed and built enterprise web applications for federal clients that supported over 20M users. After Accenture, David earned an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and joined New World Systems as the Director of Marketing. He also holds an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University where he studied Economics, History, and Computer Science. David makes his home in Detroit, Michigan.

Sandro Viselli

Executive Vice President

Sandro has a strong background in software development, project implementation, customer account management and scaling operations within technology companies. Most recently, he was Vice President of Professional Services at New World Systems where he managed a team of 100+ project managers, trainers, and software developers. Prior to New World, Sandro held executive positions in technology companies where he managed development, implementation, sales and support teams. He holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, and currently resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
